The first Virši store, which operates outside the usual service station format, has opened its doors for visitors at Tērbatas Street 22/24. The new convenience store in the centre of Riga offers a very well-thought-out assortment of food and beverage.
“This project is our second step beyond the traditional service station format to be closer to our customers and offer their favourite coffees, meals and other everyday essentials. In the summer, we already introduced the first robot barista in the Baltics to Virši coffee lovers at the Spice shopping centre. In the autumn we welcome residents of Riga city centre to the new convenience store for their everyday purchases. In a modern shopping environment, shoppers will find a specially selected range of products, including a wide selection of goods from Latvian manufacturers. This concept has great potential, so we will continue to offer new stores and solutions,” says Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board at Virši.
The new convenience store will be open every day from 6:00 to 23:00 and has specifically considered the need of city centre residents and office workers to enjoy quality and healthy meals in their dynamic daily routine. The new convenience store offers a wide range of hot meals, vegetarian and vegan products, as well as sweet and hearty dishes.
With the opening of the new concept store, Virši is also expanding and modernising its service station network. In mid-September, a newly built store was opened next to the existing Virši automatic service station at Satekles Street 2 in Riga, while on 22 September, the service station in Zīlāni, Zīlānu Street 145, reopened in a modernised and spacious premises. At the end of October, the Sarkandaugava service station will open after renovation and modernisation. Two new Virši service stations are also currently under construction, which will be located near Olaine and in Riga, on Viskaļu Street. All the new stations delight visitors with a modern design and a full range of services and facilities.
To celebrate the expansion of the Virši network, special offers will be waiting for visitors at the new convenience store on Tērbatas Street and at the service stations on Satekles Street, Zīlānu Street and also in Sarkandaugava.
