VILNIUS –  The first cruise ship to visit Klaipeda since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic is to arrive in the Lithuanian seaport on Tuesday.

The Artania is expected to dock after noon, with 677 visitors from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands on board, according to Klaipeda Tourism and Culture Information Center.

All of the ship's passengers and the crew have been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The 2020 cruise season in Klaipeda was cancelled due to the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the port would welcome around 80,000 cruise visitors per season.
