TALLINN - The prime minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo, will make an official visit to Estonia on Friday, meeting with Prime Minister Kristen Michal and Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
"Finland is one of Estonia's closest friends and allies. Good neighbors are priceless in today's world," Michal said according to spokespeople. "When Finland is doing well, Estonia is doing well too," he added.
The two prime ministers are expected to talk about the international security situation, common challenges in the region, and the main areas of cooperation in bilateral relations.
"Finland has been an invaluable partner for us in ensuring security in the Baltic Sea region and in establishing and protecting energy connections that are extremely important for Estonia," the Estonian head of government said.
After their meeting in Tallinn, Orpo and Michal will hold a joint press conference at the Estonian Statehood House on Friday afternoon.
The official program will be followed by a trip by the prime ministers to western Estonia.
