The Latvian Health Ministry and the Latvian Association of Family Physicians failed to reach an agreement during strike negotiations today, therefore the family physicians will go on strike, starting from July 3, the Head of the Association, Sarmite Veide, said.
"Regretfully, we did not reach an agreement with the Health Ministry today because the ministry's offer was the same and it would not budge. There will be no further negotiations, and family physicians will begin a strike at noon on July 3," she said.
