Ex-Lithuanian army paramedic sentenced to 3 years for spying for Belarus

VILNIUS - A Vilnius court sentenced Andrey Osurkov, a former paramedic of Lithuania’s Armed Forces, to three years in prison for spying for Belarus on Friday, March 4. Vilnius Regional Court handed out the minimum punishment taking into account the fact that Osurkov had no previous convictions and pleaded guilty. In Lithuania, people face up to 15 years in prison for spying.
