According to former Latvian President Andrius Berzins, the refugees arriving to Latvia are an insignificant problem in comparison with the still unresolved issue of non-citizens.
The former president indicated that there are still at least 230,000 non-citizens in Latvia. He feels that instead of paying so much attention to the admission of a comparatively small number of refugees, Latvia should first of all deal with the issue of non-citizens.
