Talis Kravalis will be reinstated as director of the Customs Board of the Latvian State Revenue Service, Latvian Finance Minister Dana Reizniece-Ozola announced in an interview with Latvian Television today.
The minister explained that upon studying a detailed analysis provided by lawyers it was decided that Kravalis had been wrongfully fired. Kravalis' dismissal was based on an absence of a security clearance for access to state secrets, but it was later discovered that his clearance had not been annulled.
