EU court rejects fertilizer producer Achema’s Lithuania LNG case

An EU court has rejected in mid-September an appeal by fertiliser manufacturer Achema against state aid for the Klaipeda LNG terminal in Lithuania. Achema, the Baltics’ largest single commercial gas consumer, pays about 20 million euro per year for the LNG terminal.  Achema has long sought to change it, claiming it violates competition and is unfair to the company.
