VILNIUS - Stress tests will have to be made at a nuclear power plant, which is being built by Belarus in Astravyets close to its border with Lithuania, in order to determine whether the nuclear energy facility is safe or not, the European Commission’s Vice-President for the Energy Union has said while on a visit to Lithuania. “We have certain international principles and internationally-based approaches and I think that after recent tragedies in Fukushima, Japan, the whole of Europe is demanding stress tests.
