A court in Norway has handed a nine month jail sentence to an Estonian woman in her 20s who at the end of October was caught with approximately 2 kilograms of hashish on the border between Norway and Sweden, the news portal of the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK said.
The woman was sentenced to nine months in jail after she was caught with 1.7 kilograms of hashish at the Orje border checkpoint. The woman admitted her guilt at Hegen and Froland district court last week. She explained that she decided to smuggle drugs in order to pay back a debt, NRK said.
