TALLINN – Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid has described cooperation in digital affairs, future of the European Union and the region's security as central topics of the meetings to be held as part of her state visit to Finland that began on Tuesday.

"An important field where we've been making progress in strides and where it pays to keep up the pace is digital cooperation between the two countries," Kaljulaid said answering a question from BNS about the most important topics to be discussed during the visit.

"It is a unique and global competitive advantage for two countries to be working together in digital matters in this way," the head of state said.

"We will definitely pay quite a lot of attention to matters related to the future of the European Union, the security situation in our region and our vision on what to do in a situation like this," Kaljulaid said.
