TALLINN - Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid has self-isolated due to potentially coming into contact with a coronavirus carrier at the end of last week.
"While visiting Viljandi on Friday, I met with a person who was later diagnosed with COVID-19. I am considered a close contact, which is why I will remain in self-isolation until Monday in accordance with instructions by the Health Board," the head of state wrote on social media.
The president said that all her meetings scheduled for this week have been cancelled.
