Estonian president hosts lunch for former heads of state

TALLINN - Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid on Thursday hosted a festive lunch for the former heads of state of Estonia and their spouses.

For the first time ever, Ms Helle Meri, President Arnold Ruutel and Ms Ingrid Ruutel, and President Toomas Hendrik Ilves gathered for a joint lunch, spokespeople for the president said.

The festive lunch took place as part of events leading up to the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.
