Estonian president, PM, culture minister to attend Winter Olympics

TALLINN - President Kersti Kaljulaid, Prime Minister Juri Ratas and Culture Minister Indrek Saar are the Estonian leaders who are to visit the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea as part of working visit.

Kaljulaid's working visit to South Korea will last from February 5 to 12 and on Feb. 6 she will meet with President Moon Jae-in. On the next day the Estonian head of state will open a digital ID center for e-residents in Seoul.

Kaljulaid is to also attend the opening ceremony of the Olympics, visit the Olympic Village and meet with Estonian athletes. She will also attend the women's and men's cross-country skiing and biathlon events as well as figure skating events, a press officer said.

Ratas is to attend the Olympics from Feb. 12 to 15 and Saar will be in South Korea from Feb. 15 to 19, spokespeople for the government said.

The 2018 Winter Olympics are to take place on Feb. 9-25.
