TALLINN - Six Center Party MPs quitting their party has not changed the status of the governing coalition, according to leader of the Reform Party and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
"One of the coalition partners is simply stronger, and thereby the whole governing coalition is stronger," Kallas said on the "Telehommik" morning program of Kanal 2 television channel on Tuesday, adding that the Reform Party has no plans to change the power dynamics in the government accordingly.
Kallas mentioned that implementing government policy in the parliament will definitely be as difficult as last year, as the opposition continues to use obstruction tactics.
"One of the parties has asserted that they do not recognize the election results," Kallas said, referring to the Estonian Conservative People's Party (EKRE).
According to Kallas, there is no other solution against this than to link the adoption of bills to votes of confidence in the government.
