TALLINN - The anti-corruption select committee of the Estonian parliament is to hold a public sitting on Monday to discuss the transparency of the Baltic states' joint railway project, Rail Baltic.
The sitting will address the risks of international cooperation within the Rail Baltic project, transparency issues, and the procurement of trains.
Invited to the committee meeting scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m. are Andris Kulbergs, chairman of the Latvian parliament's Rail Baltic inquiry committee; Estonian Minister of Infrastructure Kuldar Leis; Andres Lindemann, Rail Baltic director at the Estonian Ministry of Climate; the minister's adviser Erko Siitan; Chief Auditor Ines Metsalu-Nurminen and audit director Silver Jakobson of the Estonian National Audit Office; Anvar Salomets, CEO of Rail Baltic Estonia; and Lauri Betlem, CEO of Estonia's state-owned passenger train operator Elron.
