TALLINN - A mobile app telling people whether they have come into contact with a person who has tested positive for coronavirus is expected to be ready next week, Estonia's Minister of Social Affairs Tanel Kiik told reporters on Wednesday.
Kiik said that testing of the so-called coronavirus app has reached the final stages and from Aug. 20 onwards it should be possible to download the app.
The minister described the app as a "warning app." He said that while a person may not remember with whom they came into contact and where they were, "the mobile phone will remember."
Kiik expressed hope that the app will be adopted well by residents and as many people as possible will download it.
