TALLINN – In light of the escalating tensions following the United States' missile attack, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends refraining from traveling to Iraq and Afghanistan as well as from traveling to Iran without an unavoidable necessity.
In addition, the ministry strongly advises against traveling to areas in Iran bordering Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, and Iraq. In other countries of the region, the current travel recommendations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remain in effect, but as tensions grow, people must be prepared for a change in threat assessment.
The ministry advises all Estonian citizens in the country to notify the ministry of themselves either via e-mail or by calling the number +372 637 7449.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also advises that people familiarize themselves with the travel information on the ministry's website at reisitargalt.vm.ee/riigid/iraan.
