TALLINN – Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said on Tuesday that Estonia, together with its partners in the European Union, is monitoring the situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and is in constant contact with both Baku and Yerevan to help stop the intensified conflict.

"I strongly condemn the armed conflict which escalated between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the night between yesterday and today, which claimed lives from both sides," Reinsalu said.

"I also welcome the announcement made this morning that a ceasefire has been restored and urge respect for it and a return to peace talks to end this conflict," he added.
