The Estonian Office of the Prosecutor General contest the decision of a first tier court to terminate the criminal proceedings related to former Center Party chairman and ex-mayor of Tallinn Edgar Savisaar.
The Harju County Court ruled on June 5 to terminate the criminal proceeding concerning Savisaar, who stood accused of corruption and economic crimes, citing bad health of the accused and saying that the ruling is final and not subject to contestation, spokespeople for the Office of the Prosecutor General told BNS.
