Estonia: Patarei prison compound to close to visitors in autumn

The Estonian state property management company RKAS will close the Patarei sea fortress barracks in Tallinn, best remembered for their later function as a prison, in October as the site has become too hazardous for visitors. "RKAS has terminated the contract with the Manguvaljaku Fond foundation that runs the prison museum now because the safety of visitors cannot be ensured in the framework of present co-operation.
