TALLINN – From Aug. 30, the new e-Commercial Register of Estonia will launch, which will bring together all commercial register services, from making enquiries to submitting applications, in a single environment.

Due to the transition, there will be a large-scale interruption in commercial register services from Aug. 27 to 29, the Ministry of Justice said.

"The new Commercial Register is more convenient and user-friendly than the existing one, as all the services offered by the register are grouped together in a single view. This allows users to change their data, check the background of companies and submit annual reports in one place in the future," Viljar Peep, deputy secretary general of the Ministry of Justice, said.

During the interruption in the functioning of the portals before the new register goes live, it will not be possible to submit applications for registration, beneficial ownership data, annual reports, changes to the list of political party members or view the register data.

The disruption affects all services offered by the Commercial Register: services of X-Road, XML queries, the API service and the e-invoicing software.

The Entrepreneur's Portal, meaning the current application and data submission view, cannot be used from 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 26. The information system for querying and other services will go offline from noon on Aug. 27. Electronic submission of applications and data queries from the e-Commercial Register will be again possible from Aug. 30.

The e-Commercial Register will remain located at the address ariregister.rik.ee .

All questions should be referred to customer support at the Center of Registers and Information Systems (RIK).
