Estonia: EKRE congress decides to nominate Mart Helme presidential candidate

The Estonian Conservative People's Party decided at Sunday's congress in Parnu Concert Hall to put forward chairman Mart Helme as the party's presidential candidate.  He was also reelected chairman of the party. "The fight for (the presidency) will not be easy. We have to take into consideration that at the previous local elections our party was yet too weak to bring about a situation where a considerable number of electors would come from our party or electoral alliances with our participation," Helme said in his address to the congress.
