Estonia: Defense applying for Kofkin's criminal case to be closed

Defense attorneys of businessman Alexander Kofkin, a suspect in the corruption case of Tallinn Mayor Edgar Savisaar, have requested that the Office of the Prosecutor General end the criminal investigation of their client due to the lack of necessary elements for an offense. The attorneys, Aivar Pilv and Marko Pilv, concluded that in spite of surveillance activities no proof has been found which confirms that Kofkin committed an offense.
