The Estonian boat builder Baltic Workboats signed an agreement with the Swedish government at the beginning of this month to build a 27-meter boat with a capacity of 150 passengers for operation in the Stockholm area by June 2018 at a cost of five million euros.
Besides, German police last week confirmed an order for three patrol boats using a new hull design developed by Baltic Workboats that should make the vessel better navigable, reduce fuel consumption and noise. Construction of the boats will start this summer, Postimees reported.
