Estonia's Pro Patria and Res Publica Union (IRL) on Sunday elected barrister and former chancellor of justice Allar Joks as its official candidate for the position of president of the Republic of Estonia.
"The president of the republic is the president of the people, not the political majority," Joks said in his speech at Sunday's IRL council.
According to Joks, one of Estonia's foreign political goals is opening the European Union's doors to Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine.
