TALLINN - On Thursday evening, the first dance performance of the Estonian Song and Dance Celebration entitled "My Fatherland is my Love," will be held at the Kalev stadium in central Tallinn.
All 713 dance and gymnastics groups have been rehearsing on training grounds across Tallinn since Sunday. On Wednesday, a rehearsal with altogether 11,500 participants was held at Kalevi stadium to put the finishing touches to the dance routines.
The first performance of the 20th Dance Celebration will be given at 7 p.m. on Thursday, the second at 11 a.m. on Friday and the third one at 6 p.m. on Friday. Clear skies have been forecast for Thursday, whereas on Friday, the performers need to be prepared to face some showers.
On Saturday, a procession will start in central Tallinn and move to the Song Festival Grounds, after which, the first concert of the 27th Song Celebration will begin. The second concert will take place on Sunday.
