RIGA - Also after lockdown in Latvia that ends on November 15, epidemiological requirements for on-site work will remain unchanged, Health Minister Daniels Pavluts' (For Development/For) aide Kaspars Berzins said at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting today.

He said that it is planned to ensure remote work opportunities, use face masks when at work and avoid crowding.

The requirement for a Covid-19 certificate will be in force for public sector employees, state and social care employees and those who are in direct contact with clients and a large number of people starting from November 15.

Starting from December 15, all people working face-to-face will be required to have a Covid-19 certificate.

At the same time, screening program with self-tests, including for vaccinated people, could be gradually introduced in education and public sectors with high risks.
