English singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding will not be performing at this year’s Positivus music festival in Latvia’s seaside town of Salacgriva due to health issues, the festival’s organisers have announced.
The artist, who was supposed to be one the festival’s headliners, was hit by serious health issues last week and doctors told her to cancel all performances scheduled for the near future, including at Positivus.

Friday’s schedule of artists’ performances at the festival has been changed due to Goulding’s pullout, organisers said, adding that those who had planned to only attend Goulding’s show will be able to return their tickets and get their money back, although they can use their tickets to attend concerts on any other day of the festival.
Most likely, Goulding will be replaced on the festival’s main Lattelecom stage with British musician, DJ, singer, songwriter, and record producer Mark Ronson, the festival’s organiser Girts Majors said on Twitter. According to the original schedule, Ronson is to play a DJ set on the Nordea stage on Friday night.

The Positivus festival in Salacgriva will run July 15 through 17 this year. The festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations will kick off on Friday, July 15. The artists expected to perform at this year’s festival include Iggy Pop, M83, and others.
