TALLINN – Estonian gas selling company Eesti Gaas is lowering the already 35 percent lower December price of the household customer's flexible package by an additional 5 percent -- the new price starting from Dec. 1 is 1.75 euros per cubic meter including VAT.
"The first minus degrees will bring an additional price thaw for gas in Estonia, and in total, the December price of the household customer's flexible package will be nearly 40 percent lower than it is now. Gas tanks are full in Europe, the weather has been warmer than expected and consumption lower. We have established new gas suppliers and delivery routes and have made a full turn to liquefied natural gas (LNG) of Norwegian and US origin," Eesti Gaas management board chairman Margus Kaasik said in a press release.
