Eesti Gaas' price increase for household consumers to be smaller than estimated

TALLINN - Estonian gas seller Eesti Gaas has announced that the price of natural gas per cubic meter in its flexible package for household consumers will be 2.85 euros including VAT in October and November.

"As the market price of natural gas has been declining consistently in September, it is possible to significantly lower the previously announced price of 4.1 euros per cubic meter for October," marketing and communications manager at Eesti Gaas Kersti Tumm told BNS.

From Sept. 1, the price of the flexible natural gas package of Eesti Gaas for household consumers rose from 1.5 euros per cubic meter to 2.65 euros with the price slated to grow further to 4.10 euros from Oct. 1, Postimees reported at the start of September.

At the end of September, the company said that it intends to adjust the price from October due to a decline in the market price.
