RIGA - The Education and Science Ministry in cooperation with representatives of the higher education, science and youth sectors have launched a campaign, promoting youth and students to get vaccinated, LETA learned from the ministry.
Education and Science Minister Anita Muizniece (New Conservative Party) underscored that there are just 35 days until the new school year starts, which means that students should mobilize in order to be able to resume a safe study process.
She called on the young people to listen into opinions of scientists and medics and the example of 77 percent of university lecturers who have already got their vaccines.
The ministry underscored that just about 40 percent of 19-24 years old people have been immunized so far.
