RIGA - The dismantling of all monuments glorifying the Soviet regime cost Riga EUR 2,138,713, LETA learned from the Riga City Council.
Most of the expenses were spent on the dismantling of the monument complex in Uzvaras Park, which was also the most time-consuming.
In Riga, all the objects included in the list of monuments glorifying the Soviet regime have been dismantled, but the site of the former Uzvaras Park is being tidied up. If weather conditions are favorable, the works are planned to be completed within a month, but according to the builders, the fence at the construction site could remain until spring.
