There is a plan to carry out a detailed revision of all sectors’ expenditures while working on Latvia’s 2018 budget, representatives of the Finance Ministry informed.
At a Cabinet meeting next Thursday, March 23, ministers are expected to decide on a draft government decree on Latvia’s medium-term budget framework for 2018, 2019 and 2020, as well as a timetable for drafting the 2018 budget. All ministries’ expenditures of previous years will be thoroughly analyzed in order to ensure a more effective and transparent budget management.
