RIGA - San Antonio Spurs forward Davis Bertans will also play for Latvia at this year's European Men's Basketball Championships (EuroBasket), the Latvian Basketball Association informs.
This means that both of Latvia's NBA players will be playing for the national team this summer, as New York Knicks forward Kristaps Porzingis also made it known in May that he will suit up for Latvia at EuroBasket.
According to the LBA, only forward Mareks Mejeris (VEF Riga) has informed head coach Ainars Bagatskis that he wishes to prepare for next season individually and will not be playing for Latvia this summer and that all of the national team's other candidates have announced their readiness to play.
