RIGA - Cruise ship Mein Schiff Relax of German cruise company TUI Cruises will visit Riga Port on Friday, May 22, the Freeport of Riga Authority informed LETA.
The ship is scheduled to dock at Riga Port at 7 a.m. and depart at 8 p.m. The ship will be moored at Krievu Island.
Since this will be Mein Schiff Relax's maiden visit to Riga, Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (Progressives) and Riga Port head Ansis Zeltins will welcome the ship at Riga Port.
Mein Schiff Relax is 333 meters long and 42 meters wide. According to Riga Freeport, this is the largest cruise ship ever to visit the Port of Riga. The cruise liner, which has 19 decks, will bring some 4,000 passengers and around 1,000 crew members to Riga.
Mein Schiff Relax will visit Riga four times during the season.
This year, 101 cruise ships are to visit the Port of Riga, 21 percent more than in 2025. A total of around 135,000 tourists are expected to arrive in Riga on cruise ships, an increase of 17 percent compared to last year.
