RIGA - Covid-19 cases have been registered in 52 municipalities across Latvia as first cases have been registered in Baldone and Valka counties.
The municipalities that have registered Covid-19 patients inlude also Jelgava, Talsi, Tukums, Iecava, Kegums, Aloja, Marupe, Rujiena, Rezekne, Limbazi, Stopini, Seja, Sigulda, Carnikava, Garkalne, Cesis, Smiltene, Aizkraukle, Vecumnieki, Bauska, Koceni, Olaine, Mersrags, Krustpils, Grobina, Kuldiga, Ventspils, Aizpute, Saldus, Adazi, Kraslava, Aluksne and Engure counties, as well as Liepaja, Riga, Jurmala, Jelgava, Rezekne, Jekabpils, Daugavpils, Ventspils and Valmiera.
The largest number of Covid-19 patients has been registered in Riga - 101-250 people, while there were 21-50 patients in Jurmala, 11-20 in Jelgava and Liepaja, 6-10 in Ozolnieki, Babite, Kekava, Salapils, Garkalne and Ogre counties.
Divided by age groups, there are 125 patients, aged 30-39, 90 patients aged 40-49, 77 patients aged 20-29, there are 19 new patients in the age group over 60, 18 among 50-59 years old, and in total 24 patients in the age group of up to 19 years.
As reported, with 48 more people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Latvia has grown to 446, according to information released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
Of the 27 Covid-19 patients that are being treated in hospital, 24 are cases of moderate severity and three are severe cases, which means the patients have pneumonia and need ventilation.
