TALLINN - The foreign ministers of the countries that are members of the Council of the Baltic Sea States are meeting in Vihula, northern Estonia, on Thursday and Friday to discuss security in the region and the Baltic Sea.
Estonia currently holds the presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States and the meeting is chaired by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.
The main topics of the meeting are the threats posed by Russia's shadow fleet in the Baltic Sea and the protection of critical underwater infrastructure.
A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the protection of critical underwater infrastructure in the Baltic Sea will be signed and a report on the future of the Council of the Baltic Sea States will be presented at the meeting.
