March 4, 2016, saw Lithuania’s first conscripts of the year begin their six months of compulsory military service. The first draft of the year saw more than 500 persons between the ages of 19 and 27 conscripted to the Lithuanian Army for nine months. They will begin their service with the Lithuanian Great Hetman Jonusas Radvilas regiment at the army base in Rukla.
