Christmas Market to return to Riga Old City after two-year interval

RIGA - After a two-year interval, the traditional Christmas Market is due to reopen in Dome Square in Riga Old City on the first Advent Sunday, November 27, organizers informed LETA. 

The Christmas Market will be operating until January 1, offering the city's visitors to buy Christmas gifts, feel the winter holiday atmosphere and enjoy a rich cultural program. 

The market will open in the test mode already at 10 a.m. on Saturday. 

At the Riga Christmas Market, over 80 vendors, craftsmen, artisans and domestic producers will be offering to buy presents like jewelry, toys, leatherwear and knitwear, glassware, candles, bee products and souvenirs and to enjoy delicious foods and drinks. 

Popular DJs will be performing at the market on Friday nights, while musical ensembles, choirs and groups will take the stage on Saturdays and Sundays.
