Butkevicius pledges to generate €2mn for teacher wages

The morning of Wednesday March 2, 2016, saw Lithuanian Prime Minister, Algirdas Butkevicius, meet with the country’s Ministers of Education and Science.  While the meeting did not result in the agreement of an the additional 7 million Euros demanded by teachers currently on strike, the government pledged to generate 2 million Euros by 8 P.M. on the day of the meeting.
