Business Garden Rīga welcomes six new tenants

  • 2022-05-12

Six new tenants have recently joined our community at the Business Garden Rīga office complex, developed by Vastint Latvia. The new tenants work in different sectors and all are recognized leaders in their respective fields, both in Latvia and abroad.

The new tenants of Business Garden Rīga at Malduguņu iela 2 and 4 are: Philips, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic products; ALD Automotive, an international full-service leasing and fleet management company; AMIT Baltic, a distributor of automotive software; Alfa Laval, a producer of industrial equipment, specialised products and engineering solutions; and Forma 2, a construction supervision and project management services company. They are joined by the newest branch of Luminor Bank — Luminor Mārupe.

“We are happy to see the Business Garden Rīga community grow. Offering our tenants extra value is at the core of the Business Garden concept, and it’s a pleasure to see them appreciate the many amenities and opportunities we have introduced. We have already designed the buildings of the second construction phase that will cement the reputation of this neighbourhood – Business Garden Rīga is the most dynamic business campus on the left bank of Daugava,” says Romans Astahovs, Managing Director of Vastint Latvia.

The strategic location of Business Garden Rīga, which ensures you can easily reach both Riga Airport and the city centre, is one of the key reasons why companies have chosen to set up their offices here. Another reason quoted by the tenants is the flexibility — every business can use the space according to its own needs and requirements. And then there are also all the additional amenities — the Lounge, the multiple parking options, electric vehicle charging stations, modern micromobility solutions. Tenants also point out the elaborately planned outdoor space with its many recreation areas and amenities for sports and fitness.

The choice of sustainable solutions is rapidly becoming a strong trend, both in Latvia and abroad, and one of the fundamental factors for businesses when looking for new office space. “We chose Business Garden for its great location and the added value of the many facilities on the premises — the sustainable and functional environment, modern equipment, the communal Lounge space, the landscaped outdoor space, the carpark and the bicycle parking options. I would especially like to point out the highly professional management on the premises and the flexible approach to office planning. The space was prepared specially for us and adapted to our needs,” shares Ilze Lenša, Managing Director, SIA Alfa Laval.

Meanwhile, the Luminor Bank employees note the importance of the accessible environment that allows customers with reduced mobility to feel welcome at the newly opened branch. The AMIT Baltic team appreciates the air quality — a factor ensuring an epidemiologically safe environment that has become especially important in the last two years during the COVID-19 pandemic. Philips, Alfa Laval and other international companies highlight that Vastint’s approach along with the solutions used by Business Garden Rīga fully correspond with their corporate values and sustainability policies.

“The primary reason for choosing Business Garden Rīga is that the project is in line with Philips’ values and quality requirements. Our office is not a huge one, so we are happy to take advantage of all the benefits available to Business Garden Rīga tenants, such as The Lounge,” says Agrita Vēvere, Commercial Organization Leader at Philips Baltic.

All the tenants have also said that they are looking forward to the warm months, when they will be able to fully appreciate the benefits of Business Garden’s intricately landscaped surroundings – the pleasure of having lunch outdoors, relaxing and working in the green courtyard, as well as indulging in physical activities on the specially equipped sports grounds. Currently, Business Garden Rīga is in the negotiation stage with several more tenants who may consider moving in before the beginning of summer.

About Business Garden Rīga:

Business Garden Rīga office campus is in Pārdaugava, next to the crossroads of Karļa Ulmaņa gatve and Lielirbes Street, and was built according to a concept by the developer Vastint which has already been successfully realised in a number of European cities. The project has received the highest possible LEED certification – platinum – which confirms the high sustainability and energy efficiency standards of the office campus. The Business Garden office campus in Latvia is being developed in three stages – as part of the first stage, two office buildings are being constructed with more than 14,000 m² of leasable space, underground and above ground parking spaces, and mobility points with stands for bikes. In the middle of the Business Garden Rīga site there is a spacious garden with 67 historic trees that have been preserved, zones for sport activities and places for relaxation. The office campus overall will offer more than 70,000 m² of modern and comfortable office space, as well as a varied range of amenities, and so will become the biggest and most sustainable office centre in Riga to have been developed by a single investor.
