Border Guard service to receive two new helicopters this year

RIGA - The Border Guard service will receive two new helicopters this year, LETA was informed by the State Border Guard.

The Italian AW 119 Kx helicopters, produced by Leonardo S.p.a., will be delivered to the State Border Guard in June and October.

They will replace the current two Italian Agusta Bell 206B helicopters used by the Border Guard service, which were produced in 1974 and 1980, respectively.
