Belarus parliament's vice speaker visits Latvia

RIGA  - Marianna Shchetkina, Vice Speaker of the Belarus parliament, will be on a working visit to Latvia from May 2 to May 4, the Latvian parliament's press service.

She will meet with the Latvian parliament's vice speaker, Gundars Daudze (Greens/Farmers); the chairwoman of the committee on European Affairs, Lolita Cigane (Unity); and the chairman of the committee on foreign affairs, Ojars Eriks Kalnins (Unity), as well as with the members of both parliamentary committees.

Shchetkina is also scheduled to meet with Aija Barca (Greens/Farmers), the chairwoman of the committee on social and labor affairs, and Arturs Rubiks (Harmony), the chairman of the group of lawmakers for parliamentary cooperation with Belarus.

The Belarus parliament's vice speaker will meet with Latvian Transport Minister Uldis Augulis (Greens/Farmers), Agriculture Minister Janis Duklavs (Greens/Farmers) and the parliamentary secretary of the Latvian Foreign Ministry, Zanda Kalnina-Lukasevica (Unity).

The delegation of Belarus lawmakers will visit the Latvian cosmetics producer Dzintars and the Janka Kupala Riga Belarus Elementary School in Riga, as well as Belorusija health spa in the Latvian seaside resort town Jurmala.

The Belarus parliament's vice speaker will be visiting Latvia at the invitation of the Latvian parliament's vice speaker, Gundars Daudze.
