The Bank of Latvia has purchased 257 million euros’ worth of Latvian and supranational securities under the European Central Bank’s (ECB) Public Sector Purchase Programme (PSPP) in Oct. 2016.
The Bank of Latvia has so far purchased securities for 3.99 billion euros in total under the PSPP programme.
The Bank of Latvia said earlier that the Latvian bonds were mainly purchased by the Bank of Latvia but the Latvian government securities were also being bought by the ECB. The Bank of Latvia has also been buying supranational bonds.
