Bank analysts expect 4-5.5% growth of gross wages in Latvia in 2017

RIGA – Gross wages (before taxes) in Latvia are likely to grow 4-5.5 percent next year, bank analysts said. Agnese Buceniece, an economist with Swedbank Latvia, said that demand for construction workers will probably increase in 2017. “A pause in implementation of the EU-funded projects caused a crisis in the construction industry during which some construction workers found jobs in other sectors but others left Latvia.
