The agreement reached among Baltic and Polish leaders in Brussels on March 22 on synchronization of the Baltic electricity grids with continental Europe is a political achievement for Lithuania, says President Dalia Grybauskaite.
In a joint statement issued after a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, the Lithuanian president and the Latvian, Estonian and Polish prime ministers stated their strong commitment to synchronizing the grid via Poland by 2025, the Lithuanian president's press service said.
