Baltic horizons: BCP’s 'Gateway to Europe' welcomes record levels of Australasian innovation and capital

We all know the Baltics have emerged as one of Europe’s most dynamic gateways for business and investment – and thanks to a Vilnius company, a growing number of Australians (Aussies) and New Zealanders (Kiwis) are taking serious notice.

Last summer, we featured BCP as a relative newcomer to the Vilnius business community and thought it was time to circle back to see how things were progressing for them. Founded around three years ago by expatriate Aaron Banks, the company helps high-net-worth and highly skilled or motivated Australasians obtain EU residency in as little as four weeks through its unique VIP “Gateway to Europe” programme.

The programme was designed by Banks not just to provide smooth, rapid residency, but to create a “European life” for clients wanting to make the transition either full time or to split their year with an endless summer. “We want to make sure that everyone we invite to the Baltics is successful when they get here. We help them find investment opportunities, housing, schools, source local employees, meet them at the airport, and even provide a local SIM card and e-signature on arrival. Basically, once they’ve stepped through our Gateway to Europe, our clients are, in fact, European.”

“We see incredible opportunities for cross-border collaboration,” says Aaron Banks. “If Baltic businesses are looking for partners, investors, or talent in Australia or New Zealand, through export, recruitment or direct inward investment – we can open that door, and not just with Australasians who have recently arrived, but with those still at home looking at options to expand to the Baltics.”

A seamless Gateway to Europe

Perched atop the Europa Tower in Vilnius, BCP has earned rave reviews from its clients. As its multilingual team manages every detail for a client’s arrival – from accommodation and entertainment to legal filings, company setup, and banking introductions – client testimonials have been nothing less than gushing.

“Everything was clear from the start” – Greg and Margot’s journey

Australians Greg and Margot discovered BCP through a friend and quickly decided to take the leap. “Vilnius has blown us away,” Greg says. “Twelve months ago, I didn’t know anything about Lithuania, and now we’ve got our home on wheels up here.” What began as a simple residency application became a lifestyle transformation. “Right from the start everything was clear,” Greg adds. “Everything was laid out, and I knew exactly where I stood. It really suited our goals – to enjoy Europe without worrying about Schengen rules.”

From fear to fulfilment – Georgie’s family adventure

For Georgie and her family, moving to Lithuania was both a business decision and a leap of faith – one that quickly paid off. “We’re so glad we pushed through the fear of the unknown coming so far from Australia,” Georgie shares. “Arriving in Lithuania to work with Baltic Capital Partners is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.”

Their rapidly expanding artisanal bakery brand, Sourdough Mumma, found a natural home in Lithuania’s community-driven culture. “So quickly, Lithuania felt like a place where we were welcomed, appreciated, and inspired to do business,” Georgie says. “BCP was the like-minded partner we were looking for to begin our EU business and new life.”

“Super-fast and seamless” – Matt on the process

Matt from Nevermind Adventure Tours saw Lithuania as a country of practicality and promise. “Lithuania has a progressive government, a central location, and an easy, cost-effective process – and with BCP behind you, you can’t go wrong.”

He credits BCP’s professionalism for a “super-fast and seamless” transition. “You can be living in Europe six or twelve months a year and enjoying life,” Matt says. “If you’re running a business in Australia and wondering what else is out there – this is a great option. BCP is a family business, professional and genuine, and they really care.”

The Australasian connection

According to Banks, BCP’s success lies in cultural understanding. “Being Australasian ourselves, we know exactly what our clients are looking for – clarity, speed, and trust,” he says. “Our clients arrive for residency but end up investing, building, and becoming part of the community. It’s a win-win for them and for the region.”

BCP’s clients include startup founders, angel investors, and retirees who often turn their residency into thriving ventures or real estate projects. Each arrival brings skills, networks, and capital that strengthen the Baltic economy.

A two-way opportunity

While BCP continues to attract Australians and Kiwis to Europe, it’s also encouraging Baltic companies to look south. “Australia and New Zealand are looking outward more than ever,” Banks notes. “If a Lithuanian company wants to test its product in a new market, raise capital, or connect with Australian partners, they should get in touch with us right away. We’re passionate about building a two-way bridge – not just one-way migration.”

Through current trade partnerships and investment networks, BCP is helping connect the two regions – fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth on both sides of the world.
