Same-sex couples in Estonia are being advised not to register their relationships after a new law came into effect at the start of the year due to legal loopholes not being closed, leaving LGBT groups concerned the legislation will now be totally annulled. The Registered Partnership Act, also known as the Cohabitation Act, recognises that same-sex relationships have the same rights as straight relationships. It passed into law on Jan. 1.
