Vytautas Landsbergis, the Chairman of the Lithuanian Supreme Council-Restorative Parliament and who is dubbed the country’s architect of independence, has recently demonstrated that there is no shame in apologising when one is wrong.
On February 21, the richest businessman in Lithuania, Chairman of the Board of Avia Solution Group, Gediminas Ziemelis received Landsbergis’ words of apology.
“I want to correct the mistake of my hastily prepared speech. From the balcony of the Signatories, I also invited G. Ziemelis to give up profits in Russia and support Ukraine, which was speaking off the cuff. Vidmantas, a colleague from Restorative Parliament times, ensured that his son no longer has business in Russia since the beginning of the war, having lost a lot on his part and helped the Ukrainians a lot. A mistake is a mistake, lack of information. Mea culpa", V. Landsbergis wrote on his Facebook account.
